In full transparency, I was very late to the Stanley game. At first, I thought they were completely overrated. I mean, why spend that much on a water bottle? However, every time I popped into my local Target, they were sold out—further fueling the hype. Then, one fateful day, I spotted a few in stock. And despite my skepticism, I caved. Not because I needed one, but simply because I liked the color.
Did it make hitting my daily water goal easier? Sure. But was it life-changing? Not really. Even the smaller 32 oz version felt cumbersome to lug around all day, especially after a refill. I figured I’d stick to my one-and-done Stanley experience.
Fast forward a few months, and here I am with my second Stanley. I promised myself I wouldn’t be that person, yet here we are—fully influenced by Instagram. One of my followers posted an equestrian-inspired Stanley from The Dapper Darling, and I simply had to have it. Between the elegantly engraved design and the perfect color, resistance was futile. And honestly, if you already own one Stanley, what’s another?
Though it was a bit of a splurge, I have zero regrets. This one feels extra special—it’s unique, has a matte finish I love, and supports a small, female-founded business in the equestrian space. Win-win-win.
And clearly, I’m not the only one who’s impressed. Over the weekend, I took it to the barn, and the horse I was riding was fascinated. First, he had to investigate. Then, he tried to play with it. I swear, he almost figured out how to drink from it.
So, as a now proud owner of two Stanleys, I finally get the hype. My water consumption has skyrocketed, and let’s be honest, I’ve pretty much made this new tumbler my entire personality. And you know what? I’m not even mad about it.
