Petite-Friendly Fashion from Petite Studio

One of the biggest struggles of being petite is finding clothes that actually fit. That might not seem like a shocking revelation, but if you’ve ever tried shopping off the rack, you know the frustration—sleeves that are too long, pants that drag on the floor, and proportions that just don’t align. I recently previewed their spring lookbook and couldn’t wait to get my hands on a few pieces from the latest collection. Now, if only spring would arrive in New York, I’d be all set. As someone who primarily works from home, my work wardrobe has been seriously lacking. Gone are the days of structured skirts and stilettos. Instead, I gravitate toward matching sets that make getting ready effortless and breezy blouses that are perfect for Zoom calls. Luckily, Petite Studio’s spring collection had exactly what I was looking for, in a range of neutral tones that fit any setting.

After browsing (and narrowing down my favorites more times than I’d like to admit), I went with the Jamina Cotton Blend Tweed Vest and paired it with the Teigan Linen Pencil Skirt. Individually, these are timeless pieces, but together, they create the ultimate #girlboss look. Whether you’re heading into the office or out for a day of client meetings, this outfit is as effortless and chic as they come.

I have to admit, the Jamina Cotton Blend Tweed Vest is the first vest I’ve ever added to my wardrobe, and now I can’t believe I went this long without one. The pearly button details? Stunning. And the shimmery camel tweed? Perfection. And I love that it can be worn on its own for a sleek, modern look or layered for a more polished vibe. I went with an XS, but it ran slightly roomier than expected, so I’d recommend sizing down. Since one vest didn’t feel like enough, I also got the Bridgett Vest, a relaxed fit, button-down V-neck vest, that is a thinner, lighter version, but will pair well with many items already in my closet.

When styling the vest, the Teigan Linen Pencil Skirt was an easy choice. I had all but given up on long skirts since they usually overwhelm my petite frame. But this one? It’s actually designed for petites, so fear not. The XS fit perfectly, and the white linen fabric makes it a versatile staple for spring. While it pairs beautifully with the vest, I’m also eager to style it with the Buvette Pearl Blouse for a fresh look.
