We made it to March—congratulations! In just a few days, we’ll be changing the clocks and gaining more daylight. However, I’m ready to skip spring altogether and start counting down to the days until summer. Does anyone else feel the same? This past weekend gave us a taste of warmer weather, and I took full advantage with a long walk on the beach. It was glorious…until the temperature dropped 30 degrees the next day, making it feel like winter again.
As for this month, my agenda is packed. Here’s what’s on tap:
Go: I’m heading to my first alumni networking event in New York City, hosted by my alma mater, American University. It’s been a while since my college days, and while I religiously read my alumni magazine, I’ve never actually attended one of these events. I have no idea what to expect, but I’m looking forward to connecting with fellow alumni and seeing where the night takes me.
Do: Lately, the news has me fired up. Anyone else? Rather than letting frustration simmer, I’m channeling it into action by attending digital advocacy trainings to sharpen my messaging on social media and connect with like-minded changemakers. Some days, I’d love to take the ostrich approach and bury my head in the sand. But now is not the time for complacency. Partnering with advocacy groups has allowed me to take meaningful steps toward progress.
Celebrate: I’m thrilled to be onboarding another new client this month, marking a major milestone for my company’s growth. This client’s mission is especially close to my heart as a former caregiver—they work in the hospice space, supporting families and their loved ones during life’s most delicate transitions. I couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful partnership.
Read: A book making the rounds on social media recently caught my eye, and I had to grab a copy. Democracy in Retrograde by Sami Sage and Emily Amick is a must-read for anyone looking to get more involved in the political landscape. Written in a choose-your-own-adventure style, it’s packed with actionable insights. I’ve been loving the content and structure so far, so stay tuned for a full review once I finish!
What’s on your agenda this month? Let me know in the comments!
