If the last two months felt more like 358,476 days, you’re not alone. But we finally found our way to April, and if nothing else, the sun is out, flowers are blooming, and we are that much closer to summer. Hey, someone has to find the positives these days.
This month is when my calendar begins to fill up, and I am here for it. After a few months spent hibernating and enduring the cold, I am ready for all the outdoor activities, travel, and everything in between.
So, here’s what’s on my agenda this month:
Go: On Saturday, April 5, I will attend a ‘Hands Off!’ protest on Long Island. This mass mobilization day will be taking place all over the country. So, if you’d like to participate in using your voice to protect Medicaid, Social Security, healthcare, libraries, parks, science, research, free speech, voting rights, women’s rights, or any other issue that you’re passionate about, find out where the protest is taking place in your city and state. And don’t forget to bring your sign!
Do: It’s been a minute since I’ve been at the barn or in the saddle. The horses wintered in Florida at the Wellington Equestrian Festival and recently returned to New York. I don’t know about you, but I’m kind of jealous that they got to enjoy a winter of fun in the sun. I’m looking forward to being back at the barn soon and reconnecting with my four-legged friends. Hopefully, we’ll have some better rides now that the weather has warmed up and we don’t have to ride in the scary indoor.
Buy: I was recently searching for a client gift, and I came across these Customizable Ice Cube Trays. To say I’m obsessed is an understatement. I am a huge fan of monograms, and what could be cooler (pun intended) than having your own personalized ice cubes? The company can also print logos and designs, and the ice cubes come in different shapes and sizes. Do I need a Living in Steil ice cub tray? Asking for a friend, you know.
Visit: I’m looking forward to taking a weekend getaway at the end of the month to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. If you know me, you know I love spending time at the beach and exploring beach communities. There seems to be lots of shopping, excursions, and touristy things to do in the area, but if you’ve been and have some recommendations to share, please leave them in the comments.
