A little rain and weather that feels more like winter than spring won’t stop me from getting into the Memorial Day Weekend spirit! After a very long week, I’m looking forward to a few days of downtime. Of course, it wouldn’t be the unofficial start of summer without a trip to the Hamptons to take a Forward__Space class and get a good sweat sesh in.
Movement has become such an important part of how I reset—physically, mentally, and emotionally—and there’s just something about dancing it out with an incredible community that instantly lifts my mood. Whether it’s the energy of the room, the killer playlist, or the post-class high, I always leave feeling more aligned and ready to take on whatever comes next.
In between workouts and dodging raindrops, I’m planning to make space for some slower moments: beach walks (even if they require a hoodie), catching up on reading, and maybe even indulging in a little seasonal shopping. I have a feeling a trip to LOFT is on the horizon to snag a few petite-friendly summer staples.
Memorial Day Weekend always feels like the start of something fresh—a reminder to set intentions for the months ahead, embrace the lightness of the season, and find joy in the small things. Here’s to longer days, spontaneous adventures, and iced coffee enjoyed al fresco (under an umbrella if we must!).
Wishing you all a restful and reflective holiday weekend—rain or shine!
