There’s something magical about the first official weekend of summer. It instantly lifts your mood, slows your pace, and brings you back to the simple joys of the season. This past weekend was exactly that—a reset, a breath of fresh air, and the sunshine I hoped for.
I kicked things off with some much-needed poolside lounging. After a hectic few weeks, it felt incredible to finally just be—no emails, no deadlines, no to-do lists. I found a quiet corner, slid into a lounge chair, and let the hours drift by. The sound of splashing water, the warmth of the sun, and a light breeze made for the perfect backdrop to relax and recharge.
Later in the weekend, I made my way to the beach—because what’s summer without sandy toes and salty air? There’s something so grounding about standing at the shoreline, listening to the waves crash and watching the tide roll in. I took a walk along the water, soaked in that golden hour glow, and even dipped my toes in. It was brisk—but refreshing. The beach will always be my happy place, and starting the season there just felt right.
To close out the weekend, I met a friend for dinner at a cozy local spot. We grabbed seats at the bar, shared a few light bites, and caught up on everything and nothing. Those unhurried conversations over a shared meal—the ones filled with laughter and good company—are what make summer weekends feel so full.
If this first weekend is any indication, summer is shaping up to be a season of connection, calm, and sun-soaked memories.
Here’s to slowing down, soaking it all in, and embracing every summer vibe that comes our way.
