There’s nothing better than spending a summer weekend out East—and when you add tennis, sunshine, and stylish sips into the mix, you get the perfect Montauk moment.
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a tennis event hosted by Break the Love at the stunning Gotham Tennis in Montauk. If you’ve been following along, you know how much I love events with Break the Love (this was my third!) that promote pairing movement with meaningful experiences—and this one was the ultimate serve.
The setting? Picture perfectly manicured courts surrounded by Montauk’s laid-back charm and warm ocean breeze. While the weather may have initially given us that classic moody Montauk vibe, the rain held off and eventually gave way to a partly sunny afternoon. It turned out to be perfect tennis weather—if you ask me (I even got to sport my Break the Love sweatshirt when I first arrived).
Whether you’re a seasoned player or just there for the vibes (guilty!), the energy was contagious. We spent the day learning the basics from the pros before rallying on the court and soaking up all the sun-drenched summer moments. Dare I say, my tennis game might actually be improving?
Of course, no event is complete without a little courtside indulgence. Lillet, a French wine-based aperitif, served up refreshing spritzes that hit just right for a post-match cool-down, while Hint and Bloom kept us hydrated with their flavorful sips throughout the day. Olive & June was also onsite, gifting guests press-on nail kits in all the perfect summer shades. For a full wellness moment, attendees could take a dip in the cold plunge courtesy of Coldture and enjoy complimentary smoothies and açaí bowls from Exotic Bowls, who brought the perfect refreshing treats to round out the experience.
It was the kind of balance I always look for—wellness, community, and a little luxury all in one.
