Have you ever reached a point in your business—or life—where everything just feels…stuck? Not broken. Not failing. Just stagnant. That’s exactly where I’ve found myself lately. And let me tell you—it’s not a fun place to be.
When you’re in that foggy, uncertain headspace, it’s easy to feel like you’re flailing. Your motivation takes a hit, your productivity dips, and your inner critic gets louder. While I know these moments are normal (and often inevitable), they can still be hard to navigate alone.
Normally, I try to power through and figure things out on my own. But this time, I did something different—I reached out to a fellow entrepreneur for a coffee chat. And almost instantly, I was reminded of the power of connection and perspective. We caught up on life, business, and all the messy in-betweens. Within minutes, my racing thoughts began to slow. Despite the differences in how we’ve structured our businesses, we’ve both faced the same stressors—clients, hours, finances, creative fatigue.
I opened up about where I felt stuck—creatively, energetically, and professionally—and she helped me reframe my thinking. She reminded me that stagnation doesn’t mean failure. That even when it feels like you’re not moving forward, there’s often growth happening beneath the surface. She offered practical suggestions for shaking up my routine and helped me reconnect with the “why” behind my work. Most importantly, she listened—without judgment or a need to fix anything.
That conversation was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. It didn’t solve everything overnight, but it gave me something invaluable: clarity. And a little bit of clarity goes a long way.
Entrepreneurship can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel isolating—especially during the stuck seasons. And while it’s easy to believe that we have to have it all figured out on our own, the truth is, we were never meant to do this alone. Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is close your laptop, get out of your head, and let someone else remind you of what you already know.
So if you’re feeling stuck, consider this your gentle nudge: reach out. Schedule the coffee. Send the text. Slide into the DMs. Whether it’s a fellow founder, a mentor, or a friend who just gets it, sometimes a single conversation is all it takes to shift your perspective.
And if nothing else, remember this: you’re not stuck—you’re pausing. And sometimes, that pause is where the magic happens.
If you’re in one of those seasons, my inbox is always open. I’d love to hear from you.
