Every summer tells a story. Sometimes it’s about carefree days at the beach, other times it’s about milestones and changes that shape us. Inspired by the “Summer I…” trend that’s been all over Instagram lately, I wanted to reflect on what this season has meant to me—and share a few highlights through the photos that captured them.

The Summer I Went to the Barn and Lost Track of Time: Some of my favorite summer moments were the ones unplanned—like spending an afternoon at the barn, where hours slipped away without notice. Surrounded by nature (and horses), I found stillness, joy, and a sense of freedom that only comes when you’re fully present.

The Summer I Chased Sunsets: There’s something magical about ending a long day by the water, watching the sky shift from gold to pink. Sunsets became my reset button this summer—a reminder to slow down, breathe, and soak in gratitude before the next busy day began.

The Summer I Said Yes to New Adventures: Whether it was exploring a new place, attending an event, or simply saying yes to an opportunity that felt a little outside my comfort zone, this summer stretched me. These little leaps often led to the biggest memories.

The Summer I Tried News Things: This summer, I traded my usual routine for time on the water and discovered the joy of sailing. There was something equal parts exhilarating and calming about learning a new skill, feeling the wind guide the sails, and realizing how much perspective shifts when you’re out at sea. It reminded me that trying something new doesn’t just broaden your horizons—it gives you a whole new way of seeing the world.

The Summer I Balanced Work and Play: Entrepreneurship doesn’t pause in the summer, but I made space for balance. There were client calls followed by beach walks, strategy sessions punctuated with iced lattes, and time carved out to recharge. Finding harmony between hustle and downtime was a big win this season.

The Summer I Grew in Unexpected Ways: Every season teaches us something. For me, this summer underscored resilience, creativity, and growth. It wasn’t just about enjoying the sunshine—it was about embracing change and stepping into what’s next with more clarity.
I’m holding onto these summer lessons and memories. Because sometimes, it’s not just the summer I…did something—it’s the summer I became someone new.
What new things did you try this summer? I’d love to hear how you stepped outside your comfort zone in the comments!
