Mid-week, I hopped on a train into the city—not just for a meeting or an appointment, but for something that felt bigger. There’s always something about that ride into Manhattan that feels electric. Even on a gray, rainy day, the hustle and bustle of the morning commute combined with the skyline emerging in the distance still stirs up a sense of possibility.
While I can’t share all the details just yet, I left with that familiar mix of excitement and nerves that comes when you know you’re stepping into a new chapter.

Over the years, my trips into New York have marked so many different seasons of life—doctor’s visits after my thyroid cancer diagnosis, moments of escape during my caregiving journey, and plenty of meetings as I built my business. Each trip has carried its own weight and meaning. This one felt different, though. It was a reminder of how far I’ve come since those early days of uncertainty and how grateful I am for the opportunities I now get to pursue.
As I walked through the rainy city streets, I couldn’t help but reflect on the journey that’s brought me here. From caregiving to entrepreneurship, to finding my voice in advocacy and storytelling, so many pieces of my story have connected in ways I never could have imagined. And this project—if it even should be called that—feels like the natural next step.

For now, I’ll keep the details under wraps. But what I will say is this: sometimes life gives you moments that remind you you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. This was one of those moments. And as the city lights flickered against the wet pavement, I felt a quiet gratitude for all the chapters that have led me here—and an eagerness for the one that’s about to unfold.
Have you had a moment lately that reminded you you’re right where you’re meant to be?
