This past weekend, I had the pleasure of moderating a wellness panel with James Lane Post at Wave Wellness in Southampton—a beautiful and inspiring space that truly set the tone for a morning of mindful conversation and community.

Before the wellness talk, Lisa Zaloga, co-founder of Wave Wellness, led us through her Signature Wave Length class that included a series of full-body stretches performed on PEMF Infrared mats that use pulsed electromagnetic frequencies, infrared heat, and negative ions to accelerate repair and rebalance the body. It was the perfect way to start the day and ease into a conversation about all things wellness.
The event brought together wellness practitioners, thought leaders, and local enthusiasts for an open discussion on what it really means to start a wellness business and care for your mind, body, and spirit in today’s fast-paced world. From building sustainable routines to setting healthy boundaries and cultivating joy, the dialogue touched on many aspects of well-being that often get overlooked in our daily hustle.

As the moderator, I guided our panelists—Lisa Zaloga and Stephanie Esposito, co-founders of Wave Wellness, Amanda Duckstein, founder of ShadowBox Pilates, and Andrea Fornarola, founder of Elements Fitness Studio—through topics ranging from how they define wellness to the small practices that keep them grounded. Each speaker offered unique insights and reminded us that wellness isn’t a one-size-fits-all formula, but a deeply personal journey that evolves with us.
One recurring theme was the importance of community. The panel emphasized that wellness thrives when it’s shared. It’s about surrounding yourself with people who uplift you, exchanging knowledge and experiences, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported. Community doesn’t just sustain personal well-being, it fuels creativity, accountability, and growth. The energy in the room was a perfect example: strangers connecting over shared challenges, seasoned practitioners offering guidance, and everyone leaving with new perspectives and motivation to nurture both themselves and those around them.

After the event wrapped, I treated myself to some well-deserved downtime, sinking into the infrared sauna to let the heat and energy melt away tension, detox my body, and fully recharge before hitting the road home.
Wave Wellness provided the perfect backdrop for this kind of meaningful exchange. Surrounded by natural light and the calming energy of the space, guests had the opportunity to connect, ask questions, and take home practical tips for incorporating wellness into their everyday lives.
A huge thank you to James Lane Post for hosting this important conversation and to Wave Wellness for welcoming us into their beautiful space. I always leave these gatherings feeling reenergized and reminded of how powerful community can be when we come together to share, listen, and learn.
Here’s to continuing the conversation, and to making wellness not just a goal, but a lifestyle.
