While my time abroad may be coming to a close, the memories from spending half of my birthday month in another country will last a lifetime. Even if I forget all the little moments that made this trip so special, the photos on my iPhone will serve as the perfect reminder.
Time spent here made me appreciate the importance of slowing down—not everything has to be planned, and sometimes the best experiences happen when you let life unfold naturally. I can thank the weather for nudging me into this slower pace, but it also allowed me to truly savor each day, each meal, and every new corner of the city I explored.
As I wrap up this birthday month abroad, I’m reminded that travel isn’t just about destinations. It’s about the pace at which we experience them, the people we meet along the way, and the memories we carry home, tucked into our hearts and camera rolls alike. I’m stepping into 39 with curiosity, gratitude, and a little more patience for the journey.
Here are a few snapshots from my adventure and moments that made me laugh, pause, and feel fully present. Each photo tells a story, from quaint walkways to breathtaking views, capturing the spirit of a trip that will stay with me long after the travel days themselves.
