Witches Night Out in Cold Spring Harbor has become somewhat of an annual tradition for me, and it’s easy to see why! Imagine this: a charming Long Island village known for its haunted history transforms into a gathering spot for witches of all kinds. Think festive outfits, local shops offering special discounts, delicious food, and plenty of Halloween spirit. It’s a fun night out that brings the community together and gives you another reason to love this time of year.
This year, though, the evening felt extra special because it was my first event outing since my surgery! I wasn’t quite up for flying around to all the different stores like I normally would (but I wasn’t about to miss out and risk FOMO), so this witch parked her broom at Moxologie and enjoyed the company of some non-alcoholic spirits instead.
After spending the past few weeks recovering, taking things slowly, and getting used to a pace of life that doesn’t involve being on the go quite as much, it felt good to get dressed, head out, and do something that felt a little more like my usual self. It’s funny how the simplest things can make the biggest difference, whether you’re recovering from surgery or just adjusting to a new season.
Between the festive decorations, unique local shops, and all the people who come from near and far to join in the fun, Witches Night Out is always a great way to spend an evening in Cold Spring Harbor. Events like this make you appreciate living on Long Island and all the charm our local communities have to offer. And this year, we even had the weather on our side!
While I’m still easing my way back into my usual routine, I’m glad I didn’t miss out on this annual tradition. It was the perfect way to enjoy a night out, support local businesses, and celebrate a little Halloween magic at my own pace.
