Well, my Buck Cancer apparel has finally arrived. And, of course, the first place I wore it to was the barn.
After many emails back and forth with Megan of Elevated Equestrian to review designs and apparel options, it’s exciting to have the finished product in hand—and to share our collaboration with all of you. As a reminder, we will donate 20% of all sales during June to CancerCare, a national nonprofit organization that provides free, professional support services to anyone affected by cancer. Stay tuned to find out which organization proceeds will go to next month!
Initially, when Megan and I were deciding when to launch the line, it seemed fitting to have it coincide with my 10-year thyroid-versary in June. But life had other plans, and instead of celebrating my cancer survivorship on June 17, I was mourning the loss of my grandmother, who, herself, was a two-time breast cancer survivor. So, this collaboration is even more meaningful to me as I honor her life and legacy.
While it’s hard to pick a favorite, here are a few of the pieces I ordered from the Buck Cancer collection.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I don’t go anywhere lately without a hat. I am very much enjoying my baseball hat era to keep the sun off my face, so we had to include one with the Buck Cancer logo. I went with the Oyster color (a soft beige), and I have to say, this is one of the nicest hats I own. I’m particular about how my hats fit, and this one is perfection. It stays put, and it’s even comfortable to wear with sunglasses.

Is there anything better than a cozy sweatshirt? I think not. I ordered the Buck Cancer crew sweatshirt in Sport Grey, which turned out to be the perfect piece to ride in on a chilly June day. The slightly oversized sweatshirt was a great addition to my riding outfit of the day, but I have also been keeping it in my car to have on hand for evenings at the beach to watch the sunset. Pair it with white jeans, and you’re all set!
And since it’s summer, we also have a lineup of t-shirts, which are part of my work-from-home look these days. I couldn’t decide which color to get, so I added a white and a black t-shirt to my cart. I have a feeling the white shirt will never see the barn, but I have been wearing it on my beach walks (and it still looked great after getting soaked in the rain on my last sanity stroll).
There are plenty of other items in our line that you can order to help support the cancer community. We created Buck Cancer stickers, a water bottle, a travel mug, and much more.
Shop the line and tell us which looks you love!
