An unfortunate part of a mandatory self-care week when you’re sick, is that all the things you didn’t tackle while you were “out” will still be waiting for you when you return. I’m finally on the mend after four consecutive days of sleep (and in part due to a wonderful friend and client who brought me delicious meals so I wouldn’t starve to death on my sick bed), which means it’s time to get back to work. And, boy, do I have some major projects to tackle this week.
One of those projects is sorting out my health insurance, which will be ending in less than a month now. To say that it has been a source of stress for me would be an understatement. I have talked to everyone I can think of to gain more insight into how one transitions from COBRA to some kind of private insurance that won’t break the bank (if such a thing even exists). I’ll be sure to share updates, as well as anything I learn, as I make my calls to health insurance brokers, as I know many entrepreneurs and other people who step out of the workforce face similar issues when it comes to finding adequate coverage.
On a happier and more positive note, I will be onboarding a new client in the health and wellness space before the month is over. I am so excited to share more with you soon about the incredible work she does in the holistic healthcare space. In the meantime, that means I only have one spot open to work with me this spring. If you or someone you know is looking to up their social media, public relations, or content creation game, reach out for a complimentary consultation.
After being sick for almost an entire week, I’m feeling grateful for this life that I’m building that allows me to take time when I need it and work from where I want (which also includes my bed sometimes). I am fortunate to have so many amazing clients who have become friends, as well as friends who have become clients, and that support makes the work I do even more rewarding. Despite some challenges, like the health insurance issue referenced above, I’m going into this week with a renewed purpose and feeling more committed than ever to the life I am building.
