This past weekend officially felt like summer was in full swing—and I kicked it off in the best way possible: with a workout event hosted by Break the Love at Hampton Racquet in East Hampton. If you’ve been following along, you might remember that I attended this event with Break the Love last summer (and yes, it was just as epic). So naturally, when Break the Love hosts a Hamptons pop-up, I clear my schedule.
If you’re not familiar, Break the Love is redefining what it means to be part of a sports club. Their platform connects racquet players with courts, instruction, and a growing community of like-minded enthusiasts—whether you’re just getting started or already a seasoned player. Think of it as your all-in-one hub for all things racquet sports, tailored to your skill level, interests, and location.

This time, I made the scenic hour-and-a-half drive out east (with a mandatory Hampton Coffee stop, of course) for their Mindset in Motion wellness retreat. Held in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the event combined a serene, all-levels yoga class with tennis instruction and Padel play—plus some extra wellness perks thrown in for good measure.
The setting couldn’t have been more perfect. Hampton Racquet offered expansive red clay courts, a Padel court, a beautiful lawn space for yoga, and even an on-site café and restaurant. It felt like a private sanctuary designed for wellness and movement.

We kicked off the morning with a grounding yoga session that served as the ideal warm-up. After that, our group split—half heading to the tennis courts and the other half trying their hand at Padel (which is still on my list to try). Break the Love went above and beyond by offering cold plunges and a thoughtfully curated lunch spread for participants.

Post-yoga, I wasn’t quite brave enough for the cold plunge—but I was ready to hit the court. Although I’m not a seasoned tennis player, I grew up playing a bit and have always wanted to get back into the game as an adult. Thanks to the hands-on coaching at Break the Love events, I’ve slowly been finding my rhythm again (and yes, my serve is making a comeback!).
Between the mindful start to the day and the movement-filled afternoon, I left feeling physically recharged and mentally refreshed. Events like these are such a gift—they bring together a vibrant, inspiring community in a beautiful setting where wellness meets sport and connection.

This was my first time at Hampton Racquet, and I was impressed by how peaceful and welcoming the space felt. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, it’s the kind of place that encourages you to show up, try something new, and enjoy every minute.
I can’t wait to be back on the court at the next Break the Love event this summer!
